MAGNETISATION OF MATERIALS
How can we magnetise(convert) magnetic materials to a magnet?
Magnetic materials can be magnetised by rubbing them with a magnet continuously repeatedly in the same path without changing the position of the magnet and the material.
SUSCEPTIBILITY
The ability of magnetic substances to get magnetised under the influence of a magnetic field is called susceptibility
RETENTIVITY
The ability of a magnetic substance to retain the magnetism that it acquired is called retentivity
PERMEABILITY
The ability of a substance to pass the magnetic lines of force through them is called permeability
