WORKING MODEL FOR SCIENCE EXHIBITION- WATER PUMP

IMPROVISED WATER PUMP 

 MATERIALS REQUIRED 

 A balloon, plastic bottle, glass temblor, straw and water (add any colour to water for clear view)

PROCEDURE 

Put a hole just above middle of the plastic bottle, fix a straw in that hole s shown in the video (with out leaving any gap between straw and hole using glue, wait still it fixed properly). So that air can’t escape from the bottle. Then fill it with water and attach inflated balloon into the mouth of the bottle 

 OBSERVATION 

We can observe that when inflated balloon is attached at the mouth of bottle, water pumps out through the straw.

SCIENTIFIC EXPLANATION 

Air inside the balloon reaches  bottle and apply pressure on the surface of water and only way water can escape the bottle is through straw. As a result water will pumps out through the straw.
